Derive now supports Builder Codes: a native way for teams to monetize the usage they create.
Builders can charge a builder fee (extra_fee) on user trades, in addition to exchange fees and API broker rebates. Fees accrue directly to the builder’s Derive wallet and are paid out every four weeks.
This formalizes a simple idea: if you drive flow, you should earn from it. Builder Codes work alongside the existing API Broker program. Builders earn both rebates and builder fees without changing how users trade or how Derive executes.
Builder Codes now live!
How it works
- Builders submit orders with a
referral_codeand an optionalextra_fee - The
extra_feeis charged per trade on top of existing fees - Fees accrue to the builder’s wallet and are distributed every 4 weeks
- Users opt into paying for better execution, UX, or strategy access
There is no exclusivity, no permissioning, and no minimum volume required.
